Vilde is Thomas Savage, a songwriter and performer from Melbourne, Australia. Straight out of high school he co-founded the lounge-pop group Oh Mercy and toured heavily with them; at 23 he moved to Brighton in the UK to start the rock band Kins, which after years on the road had run its course by 2015. By then living in Stockholm, he began Vilde as a solo outlet suited to a life on the move, and the project has since released six LPs while he shifted between Stockholm, Düsseldorf, Norwich and Edinburgh. In 2025 he returned to Melbourne, the home city he loves, to write and record the seventh, Qualia at odds, due February 4, 2026.
