Bends

Ralph Castelli's "Bends" comes with an animated video built from hundreds, maybe thousands, of individual oil pastel paintings, cut-outs and puppets, arranged into what the description calls a whimsical narrative. Nick Cinelli directed and animated it and Carla Tarnawski handled art direction. The song is released under exclusive licence to Independently Popular, and it was one of the highlights on our July 2020 playlist.
