Without You

Grazer are Mollie and Matt, a Melbourne duo whose music sits between decades, the melancholy of 80s postpunk on one side and the shoegaze revival of recent years on the other. Echoing vocal refrains land like the intimate talk of lovers, dislocated from the present, torn between the aching weight of nostalgia and the urge to burst forward into the future. The band formed in the lockdown uncertainty of early 2020, bunkering down in a Carlton basement to record their self-titled EP and early singles. Their debut LP, Melancholics Anonymous, a genre-bending set of songs and memories, followed in 2022, and I Always Follow came in 2024. They have now partnered with Spirit Goth for a next project that follows the same fascination with the tension between nostalgia and modernity.
