The song is addressed to an Eleanor who has stopped calling, the singer whistling in, asking whether she is okay and admitting he is going to need a shoulder to rest on, before finding himself lost in LA by the end. It has the tidy hooks the band is known for.

About Generationals

Generationals are Grant Widmer and Ted Joyner, a New Orleans duo who have spent over a decade stretching the boundaries of pop music, from their 2009 debut Con Law to the groove-infused Reader As Detective in 2019. The songs land immediately and stay with you, and the two work at them with an auteur's perfectionism, tweaking and fine-tuning as they go. Their forthcoming LP, Heatherhead, has them writing songs that straddle the line between classic songwriting and modern pop sounds.
