About The Panics

The Panics write about the Australian landscape as a kind of celebration, a cinematic score for lost summers and bittersweet road trips. In 2002 they headed to Manchester to play the In the City music convention and began work on their debut album, A House on a Street in a Town I'm From, in a studio in Salford. Cruel Guards, which carried the single Don't Fight It, won them an ARIA Award, and they also took Triple J's Album of the Year. Their songs have turned up in film and television, and they scored Girt by Sea, an immersive visual journey about the importance of the Australian coast.
