Scrimmage

Scrimmage are a Brooklyn duo fronted by Connor Lewis and Carr Bonner, working the corners of indie, art-rock, jazz and psychedelia. Their songs come together like collages, sifted out of old voice notes and Ableton files, half-formed melodies and piecemeal recordings that still carry the ambient hum of a vacuum cleaner or the chatter of friends. Velour, their second EP, follows the debut Superego and adds an existential twist. They work out of a spare bedroom too small to really occupy, which they call the storage room.
