About Lomboy
Lomboy started in Paris and is now based in Melbourne, a songwriter and producer who sets vintage lounge and dream pop against productions that twist into shapes you do not see coming. She draws on Asian and European film soundtracks and on space-age pop, and she treats sampling like textile work, cutting fragments up and weaving them into something new. Recent company has been good: Bruce Lee with The Holy Drug Couple, years of work with the French producer Jimmy Whoo, and a trip that led to meeting the Taiwanese psychedelic band Mong Tong, who appear on her latest album, Dreams Never Rest (2025). There was also a song with Eyedress, recorded back before he was famous, which went missing on her hard drive; he is famous now and does not check his inbox.
