Kalbells

The second Kalbells album came out of Kalmia Traver's touring band becoming her band outright. Angelica Bess, Zoë Becher, Sarah Pedinotti and Traver put the work into listening to each other and holding each other to account, take joy in their queerness, and push one another toward being their most genuine selves. A shared groove language is a rare thing to stumble into, which is why playing together has been as healing for them as it has been exciting. Max Heart is what came of it: ten vibrant, subtly layered tracks of psychedelic synth-pop, packed with tension and a taste for the surreal.
