Colleen Green

Colleen Green is a DIY singer-songwriter and visual artist from Lowell, Massachusetts. Her debut album, Milo Goes to Compton, arrived in 2010 and got her name moving in the lo-fi bedroom pop scene of Los Angeles; punks around the country came to know her for a live show she played entirely alone, with a drum machine, a pair of sunglasses and her electric guitar. In September of that year she signed to the Seattle label Hardly Art, a Sub Pop subsidiary. I Want to Grow Up followed in 2015, reaching listeners abroad and drawing write-ups from Rolling Stone, Pitchfork and the New York Times, and readers of LA Weekly voted her Best Solo Act of 2015. The record she is proudest of is the full-album cover of Blink 182's Dude Ranch she released in 2019, which found an audience among fans of both acts and led to a guest spot on Mark Hoppus's Apple Music radio show. She has performed in 20 countries, among them Brazil, Chile, Japan, Italy, Spain, Poland, Czechia and Norway, and after more than a decade of growing, learning and improving she intends to keep at it the same way: staying cool, being nice, believing in love.
