So Many Mountains is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist Ryan Linvill, a recording project conceived of in Boston, constructed in San Diego, and unveiled in Los Angeles. Re-contextualizing the saxophone within a post-rock ensemble, the project creates an instrumental soundscape that explores quiet contemplation and overwhelming force, and the serenity found in both.
