Soundcloud just launched their new subscription service "Go" which promises an expanded music library and ad-free listening.  The service will also allow you to save your music for offline listening and provides access to over 20,000 label's catalogs.  It's existing, ad-supported service will remain as well.

Soundcloud Go launched today in the U.S. and costs $9.99 for android/desktop devices and $12.99 for iOS devices.  All subscribers will gert a free 30 day trial.

Soundcloud CEO Alexander Ljung had the following to say about the new service... "SoundCloud Go represents our vision of the future of music streaming: a platform for creators to collaborate on; for fans to discover the latest tracks, enjoy legendary music and connect with their favorite artists; and for our unique creative community to have the opportunity to be paid for their work."

Streaming became the largest source of U.S. recorded-music revenue for the first time ever and the majority of that came from paid subscriptions like soundclouds new service.
